Sharing the moment....

RioBravoReptiles Nov 15, 2005 08:10 AM

.. well, it took a little longer than a moment.. but not much!
.
I think I have these images in the correct time-lapse sequence.. amazingly, I saw the first baby bulge out but before I could return with the camera (less than a minute) to get the first photo she had pushed out about half the pile.. she always does a great job but she out-did (is that a word?) herself with this bunch! Normally we see 11-21 babies from our Hog is. boas.. this nice litter was 27..

.. the GANG after a few hours of rest.. when they started really crawling I pulled them out of Mom's enclosure.

Play safe!

.. these are images from an earlier birth that I am playing with for up-dates on my domain..

Boa births here are rare outside of the May-August window. I plan for breedings between about December 1st and Valentine's day..

Regards,
.

Thanks for the info on that! I was wondering if you had any boas for sale? I been checking your website and found it very interesting with tons of great info about boa Locales. I really want to own a few true locale boa's and found that your background with BCI's and BCC's have aimed me towards wanting to have a few in my collection. All I own are mutts right now LOL.....

Plenty of time to dump the mutts and move away from the dark side.
Locale BCI/BCC are the true reward in this hobby.

Hi there Gus!

Congrats to a extremly nice litter!

How big is that female?
She must be huge!

I'll try to breed my group (1.2) in a few months. So I'm hoping for the best. My biggest female is about 6.5ft and the small one is 5.5ft.

Anyway, congrats once again!

Best regards,

.. you are about 4' tall (I doubt it).. none of my females are quite so long or nearly so heavy as the one you have there.

And thanks for your support.. but as I replied earlier.. that litter is from a previous birth.. NOT JUST NOW.. I should have been more clear.
