Leopard Lizard Lower Jaw "Graphic WARNING"

jasonw Nov 15, 2005 11:55 AM

Hi everyone. I had a leopard lizard that passed a while ago. I ended up with the idea of burrieing it and later digging it up and reasembling the skeliton and put it on a diplay. Unfortunatly this is easyer said than done and did not happen. Just wanted to share a picture of the lower jaw bone I found while digging it up. I dont mean to offend anyone here just sharing a picture since this is the photography forum, I dont dare post this is the Leopard Lizard forum LOL Enjoy

I dont dare post this is the Leopard Lizard forum

I think they would actually be very interested in seeing it!
Neat find, but it looks like you held it too close to the camera (it is slightly out of focus).

The white balance is a little off as well. It looks like you shot the pic under incandescent light and the camera didn't figure that out. This is where the orange color cast comes from.

The light was one of those philips florecents that screws into the regular socet. I have the camera set to shoot at -1 witch is shortly after the flash wich give a slightly darker picture but better than the glare. I did have it very close as this jaw bone in only maybe 3/4" It was also not necisarily a find, This indevidual was a pet that I lost. For lack of a better method I burried it in the yard in hopes to dig it up and reasemble the skeliton and put it on display in my office but it didnt work that way. The bones ended up being very brittle.
