HELP There was an egg in my cage -only one please read!!

I have a hypo snow that has been with my hypomalinistic and snow boy we got from kevin dunn. He has been breeding with her for a while now. I have been checking her for eggs but noticed nothing. This afternoon we came home and there was (1) egg in the cage. It was all squishy. I got her out and put her in her lay box but all she wants is out! I got her from a rescue and she is suposed to be 3 years old and she layed 24 eggs before I got her. I have had her for about two months now.

How long should I keep het in her lay box and is there more eggs? Is there any way to tell?

Please help, any info would be great!!

If she is ready to lay her eggs, it should be pretty apparent. You should be able to see and or feel the eggs. If you can't see or feel any eggs, I wouldn't force her to stay in her lay box - that might just stress her out. Are you sure she didn't lay more and just bury them in her cage somewhere? I don't know about beardies, but two of my leopard geckos and my day gecko have all laid one or two infertile eggs. Two of the three had never even been with a male.

I'm sure someone will have more experience with this than I do and give you some good advice, but for now, I'd just keep her warm and calm and keep an eye on her.

Good Luck!

Lisa
