This guy in my city is selling his female green burm (3feet), I want it so bad but I was also planning on getting a large snake at the lee watson in december? The green is cool and it's a very (emphasis on very) good price, but I was thinking more along the lines of getting a green conda or sulawesi from the show. So very different than intended but still cool - worth it? Opinions?

As long as the snake is healthy and parasite free (mites/ticks), and you know what you are getting into I say it would be alright to get her. If you do decide to pick her up, good luck!

I called the guy - he wanted me to pay via paypal, but since he lives in the same city i offered him 25 bucks to deliver in person and pay 150 cash total, instead of having it shipped and adding stress to the animal, the guy won't e-mail or call me back and didn't show up to deliver it- guess it was a scam and i'll have to wait to get my green burmese & the more i questioned whether i wanted the more i really wanted it...good thing i didn't paypal

I wouldn't purchase an animal from anyone other than a reliable breeder over the internet. I would prefer to personally examine the animal before purchase to ensure that the animal that I am purchasing is in good condition. I dont trust pictures, as it is too easy to post a picture of when you first got the animal. There are too many possible problems that could result in purchasing off of a general seller. I would always be very leary about an internet purchase.
