Male albino is not feeding. Any tips?

muup Nov 16, 2005 01:42 PM

I just purchased a male albino ball python last week and he is not feeding. I have him in the exact set up as the person who I purchased him from. He is very nervous and strikes at mice but will not constrict and eat them. I leave him alone but he continues to be nervous. He is about 115 grams so he must have fed before.

I saved up my money for a long time for him and the store where I purchased him refuses to guarantee that he will feed even though we discussed it and the owner said that he is "guaranteed to feed". Now he says that he guaranteed that he fed.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would not worry as long as your husbandry is correct. Ball pythons can take a few weeks to get acclimated to it's new home. Just leave it alone and only offer it food once a week. When it is hungry it will eat. Hope this helps.
