I'm not into breeding snakes, so I probably shouldn't be answering. Bearing that in mind, I've never heard of breeding a corn more than twice a year, and even that seems to be a bit controversial among breeders.

my advise would be:
Only ever double clutch a female if you are 100% sure that that female is in tip top condition and very well fed.

Normaly if a female is going to double up she will without any other mateings.

Ok if you are sure the female is as i said and you want to go for a second clutch , you would let her lay her eggs then allow her to shed then feed with a couple of small mice, wait a day then introduce to the male, then introduce a few more times over the next couple of days, hopefully by this time they would have mated a few times, now stop the mateings and concentrate on feeding the female up a bit one small/medium mouse every 3 days untill she stops feeding and every thing should be fine.

as to 4 clutches well im sure its happend but NOT ADVISABLE...
And anyway by the time youve got your 3 clutch most males wont be interested any way.

In all the years i have been breeding snakes on ever once did a female lay 3 clutches of eggs. and all of those clutches were small ie 5-8 , so it end with an average egg yeild anyway.

Im sure there are more people here with other info for you about this subject.

What are you trying to make 4 clutches?.... I'm just curious, not trying to be nasty or anything. Tryin to recoup that money eh?

A corn snake will not produce 4 clutches of eggs in one season.

Some corns will double clutch. Re-introducing a male after the female has her first clutch in theory increases the chance of fertility of the second clutch of eggs.

Some females seem "genetically programmed" to double clutch, even if they do not have enough weight on them to lay a second set of eggs. For this reason all females in a breeding program need to be healthy.

On average, second clutches are smaller than first clutches of eggs.
