Finally Here!!!!!

rare_exotics Nov 16, 2005 02:32 PM

While after waiting at my door for about 2 hours befor they were spost to be here LOL... don't we all, they are finally here. I picked up 1.1 pure Costa Rican boas from Dennis Sargents bloodline. They are very nice looking they have a lime green look to them. But it is kindof hard to see in the pics. And they are going to be going into blue any day now so they don't look there best right now. Let me know what you guys think of the. They are a good 3ft or so.

And I have a ? about how rare are these? You very rarely see them for sale.

Thanks, Josh

I had boa from two locales in Costa Rica.. yours look different. But I guess it's a big place...

You'll know for sure if you have boas from Costa Rica after the 3rd time they turn themselves inside out hissing and biting! This starts when they get a little bigger than what I see in your pics.

Good luck.

Yeah I know what you mean about the attitude. I went to pick up my female and she bite me 2 times befor I even got her out of her shiping bag lol.. But you gotta love'em. And it is good some times it keeps you on your toes.

Thanks, Josh

I have a pair I got from Kevin Barnett last year that came in from Costa Rica from the only legal source. Gus, Dennis and a few of the locale guys had some from a while back, and have bred theirs. This is going to turn into a locale people will murder. I am sure we will see normal Nics selling as CR soon, so be careful, and buy from reputable people.
Out of the CR available, Kevin, Gus (sold his), and Dennis have the real deal.

Mine are from Western Costa Rica, and make up the most unusual of the variations. I have attached a picture to give you an idea. They are both in shed right now, but I will be getting more pictures sooner.

Oh, and for rarity, there are under 200 legit animals in the U.S. (don't quote me on that though).
