Hey guys. I'm an old regular from a few years ago, missin my forum buddies.

Looks like business as usual around here.

Anyway, just found an article on Yahoo news centered on studies on venom in lizards previously thought to be non-venomous, and an interview with a forum alumni Bryan Fry who headed up the study and authored an article in Nature magazine. Pretty damn cool. Also check out the last comment in the yahoo article. The man has his bases covered, I'll tell ya.

Bryan Fry was probably too busy keeping himself from being beaten up on the Monitor Forum. He did a good job and explained his work well, but some just did not want to accept it. Of course, they did not read the report. Well, when you do groundbreaking work, it is going to gain attention.

We just got back from ten weeks overseas, in which time I delivered the talk version of the study 11 times, ranging from an international conference in Europe to Harvard University. There has been plenty of very intelligent minds probling the area and asking well thought out questions. Some I'm pretty up on my game at the moment

Except my ability to type!! LOL That should have read "So I'm pretty up on my game at the moment" Thats a very timely typo. Kinda like yesterday, when (after being on the phone all bloody day doing phone interviews), there was yet another message on the voice mail. Resolving to do my academic duty (being a good citizen and all) and do yet another interview, I checked the voice mail (while yet again congratulating myself on how much I truly rule) ........... it was the video store leaving a message that Star Wars III was three days overdue. A yes, nothing like a bit of mundane reality to bring my butt down to earth Lexy and I had a very good laugh about it Pride cometh before the overdue fees!!!

Actually, I'm planning on buying it (not for the acting or plot though). The scene with the giant lizards sealed it for me. Oh how much I would love to have one of those! That'd be an absolute blast to ride!!!
