i remember reading somewhere that distilled water wasnt good for frogs because they need the mineral concentration in the water.. it said something about how they absorb too much water when it is completely free of minerals and such.. i wish i could site the source but i dont remember where i read it.. most likely in reptiles magazine...

I have also heard about distilled water being dangerous to amphibs, but I do not believe it. Just use regular tap water treated with water conditioner for aquariums. It is available at almost any petstore. If you do not condition the water, it will be full of chemicals such as chlorine and ammonia that can kill your frogs.
RO/Distilled is only a problem if the frog cannot get out of the water.
It is great to use as a misting item as it prevents the mister heads from clogging.

I have been using RO water for ALL of my reptile and amphibian needs for three years and I have not noticed any problems whatsoever and I have not had the calcium deposit problems since.
