I don't know if anyone remembers us, as we haven't posted in a while, but Blankminded and myself have a sidewinder that has refused to eat for three months. After exausting every method and prey I could think of to get him to eat, I was about to just let him go (I'm not a big fan of force feeding due to the danger involved). Our very last atempt was a big desert spiny we caught, and wouldn't you know, we finally found something to suit our finnicky palletted friend. He ate him immediately, with no hesitation, and now, rather than the docile passive creature we had come to know, we have a fiesty venomous snake on our hands. Since he started eating he has started striking the glass on occasion when we get too close, he rattles more, and he is more reclusive, all in all just a lot more aggessive. I'm taking this as a good sign because he eats readily and regularly (every other week, a big spiny, one of the most abundant of the larger lizard out here in so cal). So. that's the update, thanks for reading.
