substrate need humidity

what is the best sub to use for a young green tree python. temps is good but cant keep the humidity up. i have a nice size water bowl and mist twice a day the substart i use know is rocks at night 50% and when i mist it goes up to 80% but doesn't stay that high for long. thanks for any info!!!!

Greg likes red cypress mulch. I had a hard time finding it here, so I use bed-a-beast. Works great

I'd re-evaluate and examine your "enclosure". Two enclosures can have identical substrates yet differ greatly in their humidity readings simply on enclosure differences alone. A gross example would be one enclosure with a lid and the other without.
