Nice mangrove. I agree definiley underrated, but a lot of people are turned off by their flighty/nervous behavior. How old is your mangrove.

Mine was imported at 10" and I have had him since then for 9 months, he is closing on 2'-2 1/2'. They are nervous but mine has calmed down alot from what he was. Nice looking juvie you have there! I love the the fact that the adult look fearsome from the photos I have seen.

In an earlier post I believe that you had written about how Boiga irregularis failed to wipe out the population. That was good news. It was predicted that it may possibly occur 15 years ago.

Is most of the population of V. indicus still in the north and east? I would love to go back there some day, but with the Japanese tourists having driven up the hotel prices sky high, I do not think it will be soon.

While I was there, I came across a Lipinia noctua east of the Agat area (jungle of the Naval Magazine), the only one seen for decades on Guam. Have there been any other sightings? I am very interested in any other information about Guam's herpetofauna, except B. irregularis and B. marinus (which have taken over the island).

There are people on here with them (myself included).

Jody,
I could post a picture of a totally unknown monitor that lives in the middle of the ocean on an island that is only 1/2 mile in diameter, and you would post a picture of a breeding pair that you have that are more beautiful, older, and in better health than mine. LOL

Keep the pictures coming. I love seeing them.
