Just a general statement not intended for anyone in particular:

People get "deleted" sometimes because they break the rules and sometimes because they are caught in the crossfire of something else going on. How often someone gets "deleted" depends on how well people understand the fact that they need to follow the rules they agreed to abide by when they signed up for the account. Failure to have read the rules is no excuse. If you clicked the agree button you signed a contract.

People CAN fight (ie it's called a debate) without breaking the rules (ie warnings, bashing, name calling, profanity, vulgarity, etc.). The problem is there are many that don't care to do it the proper way.. .they direct their focus against the individual and not the subject matter and then things start getteing out of control pretty fast. In many volatile situations, once one person breaks the rules, others follow thinking they can get a free ride cause someone else "started it" (mob mentality syndrome?). Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Each person is fully responsible for what they post on the forum and will be held accountable for it. If someone posts an attack or otherwise breaks the rules the best course of action is to report the abuse and then ignore that person's post - not slug back. Let the moderators deal with them. When others jump into a mud slingling fight then they too are going to be dealt with just as equally by the moderators as the person who originally started trouble. Some people get upset a lot because their posts disappear for "no good reason". I constantly tell such folks, then why did you post your message inside a thread that was guranteed to be removed for tos violations? (doesn't matter if you were breaking the rules just as much as the other person or not breaking the rules). If there is something in a thread that's good but you know the thread in general is going off in a tangent that's not good (& likely to cause it to be removed).. take the good part and start a new thread and try to steer that conversation towards the light side of the force - not the dark side.

A lot of people have learned the hard way - break the rules too often or too severely and you can find yourself locked out of being able to post on the forums.
