I love the beauty of the big snakes, particularly many Retics, but I would never own one...(maybe a true dwarf). Once a snake reaches 9 feet...it's got its tail out the door...If I can't handle it by my self (if need warrants), I don't want it.
I remember one guy posting that he fed his stray dogs...as I have had dogs get loose once in awhile in the past, that thought horrifies me. Along that line, wouldn't you have to breed goats or something to feed such a beast? I would figure pigs would be too fattening, though more ecconomical due to large litters. What do beasts that big get fed??

Delusions of Grandeur feed the EGO...
The man claimed he fed the beast 12 Jumbo rabbits every 4 to 6 weeks. Of course he also claimed she was 23ft long and weighed close to 500 lbs. I was holding her with two other guys she may have been close to three hundred. And even given the benefit of the doubt the largest she could be in that photo is maybe a smidge over twenty ft. She was cool though.
A prior 16.5 ft Retic received
3) 3-4lb chickens every 30 days
1) 40-50lb pig every 60 days
Deceased at a ripe old age of 18 years.
