Membership update...

I happily received my monthly newsletter! It took a little doing and more than a few phone calls but like I've been told countless times before, anything worth doing is worth working for! I have yet to get any feedback on any individuals doing field research or herp studies in my area. I read the below posts from the Temecula area, and wish I could find more people interested in the same in my neck of the woods. I live in the high desert...Yucca Valley to be exact. About an hour and a half from Temecula. I have an awesome amount of snakes and desert fauna to check out but no one else to share the interest with. I'm hoping to meet up with some locals at the next meeting. See you all there!

I'm happy to hear that your finally got your membership status confirmed. I hope you enjoy your newsletter and membership in our organization.

I am sorry for the delay and do not have any explanation for it, as I am not the person responsible. I will, however, offer you this: Please keep in mind that whatever we do in regards to this organization is entirely voluntary and out of the goodness of our hearts. This is not our jobs and we do not receive any sort of monetary comensation for what we do. We do, however, encourage all those interested in helping out to stand up and volunteer for whatever they feel they can do. Please do not hesitate to help out in any way you can. We obviously need it, very badly.

I hope you make it to our monthly meetings at the San Brenardino Co. Museum in Redlands. I for one, would be happy to talk herp-related issues with you. It is nice to have enthusiastic members like yourself.

Sincerly and best regards,

Mike

Michael:

It was nice meeting you at the August meeting. I'm also glad to hear that you finally received your newletter. It's nice gaining new enthusiatic members. I hope you enjoyed our meeting. We may be more informal than some of the other groups but we are seriously into herps nevertheless.

Anyhow, if you're looking to meet other herpers in your vicinity, I may be able to put you in touch with a few. I know of several in your area. Let me know.

Hope to see you again at the Sept. mtg.

Mike
