Rack systems

I was wondering, other than boaphile, who makes quality racks that are affordable and can house ball pythons?

....Animal Plastics. Reptile Basics makes a nice rack but its to small for adult balls. I use their hatchling racks and love them. Animal Plastics makes a nice rack using CB70 tubs like the Vision Rack. Look at the snake rack page on my web page to see what I use.Hope this helps, Ron

We use Animal Plastics after being ignored by another cage company. Extremely happy with their customer service and quality of the racks. Amanda has always answered every question and gone out of her way to get us what we needed. We will be ordering more soon.

We use the Sterilite systems.

Would it be possible for you to provide a few more pics showing closeups of how the shelves are joined and fastened? What type of heat are you using? How is it installed? Pics? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I'm sorry, I don't have any more pictures of the joints. The racks are shipped flat and you put them together yourself. The sides of the racks are pre-routed to fit the shelves and the sides are pre-drilled where the holes line up perfectly with the inside shelves. All you do is drill in the screws provided with rack and your all set.

The racks we chose have heat cable for the heat. The bottom is also routed to fit the cord. It snaps into place easily and is held very securely. The tubs slide over the cord with no resistance and do not touch. We have it attached to a helix and the temps have been perfect. We also purchased the casters to be able to move the racks whenever we wanted.

I was very impressed with them. No problems putting the racks together. I was expecting less and got a lot more. I am ordering more soon.

I think I'm gonna go with the shoebox rack from reptile basics. I only have 3 ball pythons too big for those right now, so I can wait and order the sweater box rack in a couple months.
