2005 Peruvian Rainbow Boa PICs

Jeff Clark Nov 17, 2005 07:00 PM

...These are some of the 2005 Peruvian Rainbow Boas, Epicrates cenchria gaigei that I got from Craig McSherry. All of these babies have the very characteristic thick dark line markings. This is most noticeable on their heads. I have not counted scales on these but Craig said the parents had 41 and 42 scale rows at midbody. Both parents look like my adult Peruvian Rainbows. These babies are bigger than BRBs.

I managed to purchase enough BRB's since that first pair of adults I got in 02. But Peruvians just strike this insane desire in me. Craig was sold out when I contacted him, but I am on the top of the list for '06. I think I'll send gentle reminders starting in April Unfortunately for me all the buyers came through. They are so cute!! Really they are pretty Rainbows (even if their scale counts are more than expected for a Peruvian) I love the bold black markings. Even though I'm jealous, I hope they do well for you. I will send you a magnifying glass for Christmas....just in case you need one. Gosh...hope that was funny. (I'm 36 and just got bi-focals)

Thanks for the pics and just so you know...if any of those don't meet your expections...........

Linda,
...I saw Craig's ad and thought about it for about 10 seconds before I emailed and told him I would take ten if the parents had low scale counts. I keep a list of which ones I think I will sell and I keep erasing them off of the list. Keeping all of them would probably be fine. I started wearing glasses when I was your age. I have the senior citizens magnifying glass here by the computer. Getting old just sucks. But, it does beat the alternative.
