Leopard tortoise -odd behavior

My leopard Tortoise is about 1 year old-he is walking back and forth against the side of the tank and almost looks like he is trying to climb the glass-what is he doing?Ive never noticed this behavior before its been going on for a couple days now
-any advice is appreciated
