Hey Jetzen. . . Here she is:

BlueKing Nov 19, 2005 12:06 AM

This is the little female from last year. Now over a year old and growing good! And still maintaining a lot of Orange up to this point! Took this pic a few minutes ago and she measures in at just over 27". Not too big, but ok for a late 04' hatch.

Very nice Zee. My most recent 04 male passed on at about 27". I'll be getting a replacement soon, I think he's about 30".

Nice snakes, I like them both.

Passed on??? You mean he died, or did you mean he's passed the 27" mark and is now at 30"? Thanks

Maybe I should've just said died.

He was doing so well too. Just stopped eating a couple months ago and since it was so cold I took it as normal. Found him dead in his enclosure a couple weeks ago.

Ahh thats messed up, I wasn't even in the conversation but had to say something, good luck with your new male when you get him. I'm sorry if this is offensive but I'm always curious as to why snakes pass on, what were you feeding him? Was it live or f/t? How many months did he stop eating? If it wasn't many months then maybe it was from other causes. I understand if you don't want to answer these questions and best of luck to you.

HerperHelmz Nov 20, 2005 11:29 AM

what were you feeding him?

He was eating large pinkies to hoppers once or twice a week. Never offered him anything else.

Was it live or f/t?

F/T

How many months did he stop eating?

Hmm, it was probably 1-2 months before he died.

If it wasn't many months then maybe it was from other causes.

I doubt I'll ever know what the exact cause was. All I know is that was one great snake lost.

Sorry about your loss. Just curious: Who did you get the snake from. I had a similar incident happen with my 03' S.GA. Kingsnake that I got from Kevin E. She refused to eat and regurged all meals the few times that she did eat for a period lasting about eight straight months!!! Then one day she started eating again and all has been good ever since (except that she's a LOT smaller than her brother: Brother is 51" she is 34"!). Don't know why that happened. . .Still trying to figure it out. . .Temps, humidity, cage, food, water dish, everything was good to go. . .

I had 2 GA CB04 Eastern Kings this year and both came from Will Still, and both died mysteriously.

I'm not blaming Will for anything at all, I think he was one of the best out there with some of the nicest snakes out there. Plus he helped me a ton with my mite problem.

Hmmm. . . . Strange indeed. . . . I wonder. . . . Hmmmmm. . .
That is a real bummer. How old were they when they died??? The 03' female I got from Kevin E. stopped eating in April 04, only ate about once a month then and couldn't keep NOTHING down until the day before Christmas 04' She was SUPER skinny, but she pulled through somehow and now is pretty much normal and a lot thicker of course. . . Guess I got lucky that time (I've lost enough snakes already in the past due to weird illnesses)

They were less than a year old when they died. One was probably like 5 months old. The other was probably like 9? Maybe the most recent one was a year old? Not 100% sure.
