The regurgitation occured because you were holding it. Snakes should not be held, especially after they eat.

It was two days later after feeding.

If I fed it a pinkie idon't thin k it would've happened.

Basicly from what you said you are never supossed to handle snakes. WTF?

I don't handle my snake enough.

I handle it once to twice a week.

I am gonna either drive 45 minutes to get a pinkie or get feeder fish from wal-mart. (15 minute driver, 8 minute check out)

It probably did happen because of the stress of being handled and it probably wouldn't have happened with a smaller prey item. When you up the prey size, you need to wait longer before handling your snake, especially if it's not used to handling. Wait at least three days or until you can see no evidence of the meal, whichever is longer. You can also start handling your snake for very short sessions daily to get him used to handling. This way, if you did have to handle him shortly after a meal, he'd find it less stressful and be less likely to regurg.

Yeah, I didn't studder. Snakes are not dogs or cats, they aren't pets to that extent. They don't enjoy handling, they don't want you to touch them.

Many snakes will enjoy the warmth of a human such as rubber boas. But many also wont tolerate it at all.

So the jist of it is a snake is a green anole. Don't touch it.

I was handling it for 20 minutes whe nit regurged. Yeah THAT is too long. My garter snake seems to like being handled. I guess 2 - 5 minute sessions for now on.

Someone stated they handled their garters once a day o nthis bery forum. So I am not alone.

Im not aggainst you at all, so dont take it that way. I hold all my snakes at least every other day except when feeding i wait until the food isnt visible anymore . I always have. I have never had a snake regurge either.
