thanks, out of interest how do you know she is a female? thats what i was told but wasnt sure how to tell - Joel

females have an overall striped appearance, with two relatively unbroken white stripes on either side of the spine. males have one zig-zagged stripe running down the center of the spine, and are relatively bland otherwise.

i must have gotten it mixed up. for some reason i thought the males were the ones with the parallel stripes, guess it was the other way around. whoops. i guess it's obvious ive never had lineatus before.

only way to solve your problem is to get a pair of lineatus

they are a little diffrent than mossies as they like more humidity, and can suppsoedly take heat better but i have yet to see that. i think that they like alot more cagespace. mating is nonviolent(no neck bites)good luck with her. i have found thm pretty easy to care for and enjoy my pair . i plan on getting more soon.

They can take temps in low 90's as long as its more humid. I've not had problems here in L.A. with them and the heat. they actually bred better for me the hotter it was. Both my males have used neck bites when mating as well.
