ok my beardie is gettin close to growin out of his aquarium witch is realy my leapord gecko 20GL tank that im useing for tempary houseing till i build him a new cage. i have limited space in my room and i do already have some plexiglass for the front. i am jsut wondering if anyone can send me to a website that tells me how to build a cage. outta wood and a plexiglass door infront. and for air flow i was thinking of useing a regular "heater vent" like in homes. would that be enough air flow or should i put somewhat of a screen top on it. thanks.

how creative are you???

i have built two cages (pictures below)

the white one is 4'x2'x2' and the blue one is 18"x18"x42". I used the cheapest wood from home depot, a battery powered circular saw, power drill and screws. cheap plexiglass is all you need (the more expensive kind is only thinker and doesn't resist scratches). I used a steel wire mesh (just a metal screen with big holes) with the 1/2" squares for the vents. I highly suggest putting the screen on at least the top so that you can put dome lights on top. I installed 36" flourescent fixtures in each cage.

the first thing you should do is sit down and draw up some pictures....make plans for dimensions for each piece of wood to cut and so forth.

I had a blast building the cages!!!
