Greetings Ball People...I come to you from the Boa World. Let me briefly

creptilia Nov 21, 2005 12:20 PM

introduce myself. My name is Ron Michelotti and I have been acquiring Ball Morphs for about 6 months now. I have been working with high-end Boa Morphs for about 5 years and figured it was time to see what the "Ball Hype" was about. It took a little while to get accustomed to ALL the morphs, the different names used for every single mutation (or double mutation), the "controversial market," personalitities, but I believe I finally have a pulse on the "Balls." And I thought it would be easy having been working with Boa morphs and teaching college-level General Biology.

Anyway, I am here. Just what we need, another So. Cal. Ball breeder. I have NEVER bred a Ball Python, but have successfuly bred Colombian Boas, Rosy Boas, Greybanded Kings, and Mountain Kings. I AM NOT LEAVING MY BOAS- I am just having fun with new morphs of a different species.

I have attached a sunny outdoor pic of my Genetic Stripe. He has a tiny break in his stripe, but has wonderfully clean sides. Also attached, a shady outdoor pic of my Clown. In my opinion, they are coolest looking simple recessive morphs out there.

Hi Tosha,
I have heard of the local OC "support group" via the forum, but I am not too familiar with them. I work in the OC and live in the IE- this probably sounds like code to most of you. Between the snakes and my beautiful family, I have no social (professional/hobby) Life. I had to take class time to write this thread, which is difficult to do most days. I sometimes think I am crazy to take on Ball projects (with now a rat colony) to add to my already busy schedule and Boa projects. I am glad to be here none-the-less.
