New Breeing Project - Argentine Rainbows

johnbort2 Nov 21, 2005 06:38 PM

Hello all. I have put together 2.3 Argentine Rainbow boas (Epicrates cenchria alvarezi ). 1.3 from one breeder, then got another male. All are adults. Does anyone have any experience breeding these? I have read as much as I could find, but it seems that most sites deal with Brazilians. I know that they should be similar in approach, but thought some of the folks here should have some tips for success. Thanks in advance.

for Jeff Clark, he should be able to give you lots of info...

When I was working with them, I had purchased a young female from Sean Bradley at Exotics by Nature. I believe he produced her.

Also had purchased from Jeff Littrell, a melanistic adult male, and also an adult female from Britt Wasson.

Then again, this is going back 3 years or so.

Hope this helps. -Joe

Sorry about that. I actually didn't realize that there was a rainbow sub-forum here. I will post there.
