A "negative" spotted turtle? But seriously, we need a little more information. What was the shell shape; what kind of markings did it have on its head; what is the color of its soft parts etc. There are certain individuals that are genetic color mutations that produce a yellow shell. Perhaps it was one of these. Some of the tortoises might be considered to have a dull yellow shell with black spots, but we can't be sure.
