yesterday morning i found hannibal upside down in his water bowl and i flipped him over and he seemed ok. i put him under his tunnel so he wouldnt stress out as much. then this morning i found him upside down again! this time just on top of the substrate. i took out the water bowl and im trying to find something extra shallow. what do you think is going on? i fed him his first pinky yesterday when i came home.

Maybe a leg is broken so when he hops, he flips over?

I definately think it is a calcium deficiency. I would recommend gut loading the crickets and dusting them with calcium, and feeding as much fish as possible. Also, provide a warm, deep substrate so that your frog doesn't have to move around to get comfortable, thereby eliminating any possibility of flipping over. Also make sure the water dish is very shallow, so if the frog does flip into it, he will not drown.

Calcium deficiencies are supposed to be nigh unsolvable once you've already noticed the effects, but I've heard of it being done with a stress free, comfortable envirnoment and a VERY calcium rich diet. If you can foot the bill, take it to the vet. Or take it to the store because they probably didn't feed it properly if it came to you with a deficiency.

Good luck mate
