we have just got a corn snake appox 3' long,adult it was eating live mice {hoppers} 2 mice a week can we change its eating habits to frozen mice and feed the snake once every two weeks or once a month ?

Feed it one adult f/t mouse per week.

If you want a snake that will strike out like crazy at anything that moves in its vicinity, that would be the way to do it. The answer is, you could, and it would probably survive, but it would be starving all the time, and become extremely aggressive.
About the minimum that you could possibly get away with, and still keep the animal healthy and reasonably comfortable, would be one mouse per ten days. Even at that rate, it may still become nippy.

if you have trouble feeding it f/t from live, try making a slit in the top of hte mouse's head, which makes the scent SOOO much stronger. I had a similar experience and that worked for me. But I agree with the others... once every month is def. too little. I would say even 2 weeks for a 3 year old may be too little. I would go 10 day cycles. That's a personal thing though...
