question on wood turtle rhinoclemys punctularia

Hi do any of you breed this sp? If so i would like some help i just got a pair of them and they are awsome and there cute lol they spend half there time in the water tub and the other half on land when there in the water bowl they go in sercal of one another the male smells the females rearend and then gois to the head and tryes to bite her but the female dois the same thing can some one help out in this i thought breeding season is over for turtles and another thing they are wild cought from surinam thanks in advance.

I breed r.p. insica's and I can say that they pretty much breed all year long. They do not lay a very large clutch but lay a few eggs several times a year. My incisa's only have laid a single egg at a time. I'm not sure about cllutch size in your species. Maybe some-one else can elaborate more. Good luck.
