I wasn't even aware there were any, but I saw one last month, about 6 inches long, that I think was some type of skink. That's not the one I'm wondering about, however. A friend of mine was telling me about one his brother caught last week near Kensett(near the Minnesota border) roughly 18" long. He said it basically looked like a anake with legs, and by his description, it sounds like it placed its feet like a monitor. Would this be a skink as well, or would it be more likely to be someone's escaped or released monitor? Sorry about the vague description, but it's all I was given.
