I have six small yellow sliders in one tank.
4 out of 6 have tail problems. Looks like they might have been bitten.
2 of the slider have grown a lot more than the others. And the biggest has a tail thats intact.

Could the bigger one be biting off the smaller ones tails?

It's a pretty good bet. Remove the ones with the entact tails before they cause anymore damage.

I had a 2" RES bite the tails off 2 baby common snapping turtles.
