FIRST - Read this.
http://www.finegtps.com/Editorials.html#WhySupportCaptiveBreeders?

then read all of his page.
http://www.finegtps.com/

Husbandry.
http://www.allchondros.com/Care.htm

Then read all of his site.
http://www.allchondros.com

Then check here.
www.chondroweb.com and go to the forums.

Then go here
www.moreliaviridisforum.com pop in to chat while your at it.

Also heres some good rules to make first chondro experience the best it can be.

No photos of the sire and dam? No photos or documentation of them breeding the animals? - DO NOT BUY!!! Seriously this is the best advice someone can give you.

You get what you pay for. CBB chondros start at around 400 dollars (trust me there is a reson for this) Breedres give them away at these prices.

Don't fall prey to the locality hype, most breeders will never say any animal is locality specific.

Stay away from KingSnake Classifieds for chondros, until you know what you're doing. 99% of these animals you dont want. The majority of the people are boakers there and do not breed their animals. There are only a hand full of captive breeders here in the US. Most of us know eachother. With that said there are very few CBB animals on the market right now.

A little hint, most of the animals on kingsnake come from bushmaster.. you can find their website here www.kingsnake.com/bushmaster . If your like me, I like to buy directly from the sorce, so if you want a KingSnake chondro, i would go straight to the source.

This forum is usually not the best for advice. Check out Chondro Web and Morelia Viridis forum, you'll be 100% safe there.

Happy hunting!

Now I'd agree that there are some here whom are not the most experienced Chondro keepers or breeders, you'll find the same on any site. You've made the comment above a number of times yet you are here as well as a few others I know of that are rather experienced Does this statement that you have made a few times now mean no one here should listen to you???

Yes there are other Chondro forums out there and the links above as well as a simple search will get you to them.

And dang I've bought some damm nice animals through this site. Just like buying anything do your research before forking over the cash. In buying any animal you are taking a risk no matter who is selling it. Randy

The key word is "Usually" as in, the this form is not very active, most people who post here are new hobbiest looking for advice. The majority of breeders do not post here as frequently or at all.

Take it easy, ok.

LMAO,

Good thinking !

Depending on what Red animal you saw depends if it will stay Red. Chondro's and Emeralds wont stay Red but Amazon Tree Boas will. Chondro's and Emeralds average around 5-6 feet Amazons I think get around the same length but they are a lot skinnier. I agree breeders are the best place to buy your animals and cheaper is not better with these guys.

Here are some of my Adult Chondro cages.

Here is a adult female.
