Hard to say without pics but I have seen growing animals lose a section of scales and form a scab on between the eyes and nose. Usually, this disappears after the next shed. It looks to me like a growth plate.

without a pic its hard to tell ... but it could be they are rubbing their heads trying to get out of their cages ... seen that happen on mesh and loose fitting lids before ... if so, give them a hide box, a bigger/better cage and maybe feed them more ... they could be looking for food ...

cheers, John

I would have to agree with John. It sounds like they are trying to push there way out. There can be several reasons why they can be doing this and here are just a few.
The cage is soiled, extreme ambient or surface temperatures, lack of a hiding place or they are hungry.

i was gone for the last week and somehow their temps went too low. as far as food goes, these guys eat every week. the problem lies in my cage set up. i use the boaphile rhino raxx and to get a little vetilation i drilled some holes in the tubs. i guess they are just a hair to big and i caught one sticking its nose out one of those holes. it was odd because all seem to have the problem in the same spots. i guess whil i was gone they did some rubbing and now have swollen spots on their faces. i have fixed the problem but what should i do about the swelling.

I'd suggest applying a tripple antibiotic cream like Neosporin to the injured area. This should help with the healing process.
