First shed and won't eat

Gretchen Nov 23, 2005 08:44 PM

I have been trying to get my 16 healthy-appearing newborn red tail boas to eat something!!! It is now just after their first shed and I am very concerned. So far I've tried warmed up frozen pinky mice and rats, but no amount of wiggling or time alone seems to entice them. Please help!!

Try live ones if they have not eaten yet. Don't worry too much, hay can go a LOOOOOONG time without food. One of my baby BRB's is 3 months old and has never eaten. He's got me worried but he still looks fine, not wasting away, just not growing. Has shed twice.
