Just a quick question. Onyx my new mexican black king is extrmemly nippy. I know this is pretty normal for kings but will he be this way his whole life or should he calm down soon with regular handling? I hope it is soon because he literally projectile musked/pooped me 
He flung his tail at the same time he musked and almost hit me in the face with it. thanks everyone!

Your MBK "should" calm down with regular handling. How soon depends on the individual snake. Most will calm down well before reaching adult size. Then there's the rare individual that may take his whole life to calm down. I'd say you have very good odds that your MBK will be a very calm, tractable snake.
When you go to pick your MBK up, keep him down low and handle him in his enclosure until he's finished blasting musk. That may help/cutdown on musk getting on anything other then your hand. Good luck.
