Man, I've been looking for two years now for a captive bred mangrove.
It seems all the mangrove breeders have given up on 'em.
Any help? Anyone?

I wasnt aware that there was any to begin with.
Well, Great Valley Serpentarium in Lodi, CA has bred them in the past, although shows none available at this time. You might give Bill there a call...
I figure I'm at least a year maybe two away from it. My pair is just under 4'.

I hope to breed breed both Gemmicincta and Melanota with 2 years... I live in Europe though. And if i'm VERY lucky nigriceps and melanota already next year. Depends on whether the adult animals i am waiting for is comming or not...
Hey Frank.... Put me on your waiting list.... I really want another one...
Or a pair.... I need to see that beautiful black and yellow in my life again.
Great velley serpentarium no longer sales 'em.... I did talk to Bill there.... I even suggested that I'd be eager to buy any mangroves that were accidentaly bred at his facility.
I was crossing my fingers that someone on this post had a clutch in the oven....
My gravid B.d.melanota died today
She was doing just fine yesterday but i found here at the bottom of the cage this morning!
So it's a very sad day here in Sweden!

There is a black and white one for sale in the other snakes section here on ks.

hmmmmm.... I'm really stuck on the yellow-black....
regardless, the black-white for sale is WC..... I suppose maybe I should just give up on a CB mangrove..... maybe just go for a long-term wild caught..... I really don't want to risk another sick snake though....
Maybe I'll get a false-water-cobra insted.... I see so many of those CB around... hardly a satisfacry substitution but.....
Well.... I've always been interested in FWCs and I'd imagine I'll have a more fulfilling experience keeping a healthy FWC than a dying mangrove.....
mine was a fresh wc and has been doing great for the last year. I'd buy another wc. Its definetly a risk but when there arent many choices you gotta take what you can get. I hope to produce some cb mangs in the future, I'm short one mang at the moment though..LOL...still looking like you are
These CB guys were just posted today...

Oh, man!
I called this morning and the entire clutch had already been sold!
Oh, it kills me... they looked so healthy too....
How can any snake be so popular and yet have no breeders?
If any of you guys ever breed any, please lemmy snatch a couple up..... I'm all depressed now that I missed this hatchlings =/
Yeah- I'm bummed, because I'm heading out there tomorrow for the show, and was going to stop by to check 'em out. Not interested in owning them (got 3 young kids, and my wife would FREAK if I brought one of them home), but I think they are the absolute best looking snake around!
I got one tattoo'd on my calf...

Maybe I should attend more shows.... might be the only way I ever find one....
