Whats her story?

serpentcity Nov 24, 2005 11:06 PM

...one I picked up at Lee Watson's swap up here about 1.5 years ago...beat Brian Kollwitz to her, which is a major feat in itself lol...she was just a pet, sold to a jobber at the swap for $75, and I snapped her up for $250...I put about 1000 gm on her...and maybe just maybe something interesting may result...I'll be quite grateful to see a few Mojaves in her clutch...but 1st I need to get a clutch...seriously doubt there's any co-dom on her part...debated about waiting a month or so for my YB male...he's at almost 600 gm but still pounding rats...I have a group of 1600-2000 gm females for him...

...really should put this girl with one of your KILLER stripes...now THAT would be interesting!!!!

Thanks for asking Jared...SJM

That's great Scott, I can't wait till they start laying (hopefully my 2 will do good for you). Happy Thanksgiving.

...she'd pair nicely with the Spider as well as Mojave...SJM

I trust your judgement. Both spider and mojave males you have are fantastic (esp. the mojave my favorite). After seeing them inperson they are on my must have list. Thanks again for showing us your collection you have some VERY NICE animals.

I really like that Stripe female.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 'Stripe Mojave' cross from those two.

That Stripe looks different enough to be a co-dom/dom. Superb stripe with abberant/reduced side pattern as well; has to be genetic!

Jeremy Stone's, and I believe Camlon's as well, Striped Mojaves were made using a co-dom variety of Stripe. Jared's Yellowbelly Stripes have a co-dom stripe in their ingredients too.

Not too unlikely you have a co-dom stripe just waiting to be proven.
Keep us posted on this clutch.

She sure looks much like the one on the Graziani site. But at any rate she does have a genetic look to her IMHO.
Keep us posted and good luck.

Not even close......

The Ebony has a faded head and a granite appearance. Why do you say not even close?

AFR Nov 24, 2005 09:57 PM

This is why.
The snake pictured is Amirs Ebony.

I can see a difference and the picture you posted is not the same snake as pictured on the Graziani site. Now take a look at the link below and compare it to the female SJM posted in this thread.

It will be interesting to see if the mojaves produced from this clutch look different from others that you`ll produce from your other females. The Mojaves I produced in 05 all looked quite different from each other on a clutch per clutch basis. It would seem to indicate that the variability in the females has a great impact on the offsprings appearance. Scott, that should make some cool babies... I am breeding the Mystic Male to a female now that looks like an ugly butter , she is very light, about 70% striped with zero saddles over the back, has nice washed out sides and only 2 or 3 small alien spots the size of dimes or smaller on her, she also has a light head like the Mystic adult has , should be interesting... I'm breeding the Mystic line to my nicest stuff just to see what happens , time will tell !!! Happy holidays Scott... Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles.
