Feeding problems...

funniexannie Nov 24, 2005 03:18 PM

I've been feeding my 2 RES turtle pellets. A few weeks ago, I fed my turtles some dried baby shrimp and now they won't eat anything else. I tried getting them to eat the turtle pellets again, but they WON'T eat it, no matter what I do. How can I get them to eat the pellets again? Thank you.

have you tried not feeding anything for a few days and then offering pellets? what type of pellets? i would offer about 3 different types to ensure a truly balanced diet. i wouldnt offer the shrimp ever again as long as you can get them to eat the pellets again. if they refuse the pellets after a few days, try again in a couple days, if they refuse them then, then offer a few shrimp and a lot of pellet. i hope this helps. how big are the turtles? what type of turtles? what is the temp in the water and the basking area?
