This is a 75 gallon tank. It is a great size for one adult beardie. The rock wall was simle to make--I found the general instructions on kingsnake and also by googling. It cost just over $20 to make and has held up pretty well the past 2 years--Drako was about 6 months old in the picture and LOVES is rock wall. This year we added a sand box in the lower level--I used a piece of wood(between the steps and the cave) to keep the sand out of the left side of the tank. He seems to like his sand cave!

I looked at several different 'instruction' sites and combined them. Do an internet search on "Rock Wall" AND Bearded Dragons and you should get several good hits--I just checked.

Here is one of the ones I used... http://www.morion.com/teo/english/rockwall-cage/frame-cage.html

A brief description of what I did...

1) I measured the opening in the top of my tank so I could easily insert/remove the rock wall/corner unit for cleaning.

2) I made a simple frame using plywood scraps and "L" brackets

3) I used angle brackets to attatch 2 additional plywood scraps for shelves (for basking area and above the cave)

4) I purchased a 1-in thick styrofoam sheet at Home Depot and used a utility knife and my hands to shape it to cover the wood frame. I used smaller pieces for the cave 'support' and the steps. I used liquid nails to glue the styrofoam pieces together.

5) I used an expanding foam spray to fill in gaps

6) I used colored tile grout and applied several thin coats for the rock effect. I let it dry overnight between coats. I've heard you can use tile mortar and even cement. All of these requre sealing.

7) I used a waterbased tile sealer to seal the whole thing--again several coats. I let it air out a few days before putting it in the tank.

I must say that our male sure loves his rock wall!
