My Female Rosey is 37 inches long? While not too big, it is 1 inch over teh average full adult length and still growing.

I've heard of some December mating, so I'd think that it's more of an early breeding for next year then a late breeding this year. Not common, but it happens.

Thanks. Well guess I they are just getting an early start
I did get a chance to measure her a few minutes ago. She is a 2001 and now just under 30 inches. Not huge.. but compared to my other girls she is a monster :P shoulda named her jabba the hutt LMAO

I have a really bland, kinda homely colored 6 year old Kenyan aka "Smokie". She's 550 grams, I don't know how long she is.

BTW I only have 2 snakes with names, one came with one that the breeder's kid named it and "Smokie" named after the Marboro cigarrette box the seller used to demonstrate her size. Just thought that would be amusing for you.

Here's a link to a photo Dave Barker put in Reptiles magazine a few years back of their 20 year old female. It is about as big as I have seen a colubrinus.

Of course, johnii and tataricus get bigger than Kenyans anyway. Supposedly johnii reach 4 feet and I have had a big female tataricus that was well over 30 inches. I never measured her, but she was a horse! She readily consumed weanling rats. Here is her pic -

my two oldest are 96's ones 39 and the other is 42 at the moment but my first kenyan (past away now) was close to 45 inches. all my others are closer to 24-25. sometimes you just get monsters. last year the biggest girl had 26 live, 3 stills, and 2 slugs and she was eat onde of stills when i found the litter so maybe she had even more stills. and she was ovualting this morning!

I've had 'Big Momma' for 12 years now. She's bred 11 out of the 12 years. When breeding season comes around, she'll be about 1050g. She varies from 750g - 1050g. She's about 38" long and eats 2 large mice a week. Tamest snakes I've ever seen. She's been doing presentations and shows with me for over 8 years and she's always a favorite and has never once thrashed/jumped/bit/etc.
This past year she had 26 live babies and 0 slugs...the first year I can remember that I've gone slug-less.
Take care,
Jason
