Do your corns eat while in shed? Do you even attempt to feed them while in shed?
Thanks in advance,
Tim

Do your corns eat while in shed? Do you even attempt to feed them while in shed?
Thanks in advance,
Tim
i got six corns and all six eat like pigs. all have ate in shed before and never refused a meal for any reason. i feed mine twice weekly and have no doubt they would eat more.
I do feed mine while in shed and they all eat while in shed. I do feed smaller meals that do not even leave a lump. I do this because I have heard that if they shed after eating a large meal it is possible that while shedding the shed can get caught on the lump and they can choke to death.

I dont know who told you your snake could choke to death on its own shed. Pretty funny the amount of stuff that I see on these forums. Your snake will not choke to death on its shed because the old skin that your snake sheds will tear easily, and is very stretchy. No way it would get caught on your snake and choke it.
If your snake eats in shed, feed it. I have several that will eat in shed and several that will not. Just depends on the individual snake.
Man some of the rumors that get started still amaze me sometimes!! LOL
Hope this helps!!

Sure, they eat in shed... if they want to. You can go ahead and try to feed them.

I fed her and she took her mouse. However, her feeding response was very mild. I actually had to just leave the mouse with her (F/T) and she eventually took it.
Thanks for the help.

the snake started to shed directly after eating, and it was a bad shed. Now I had to decide if I wanted to leave a patchy shed on the snake for 48 hours. I have had numerous snakes regurge if I mess with them too soon after they eat. That was the only problem that I have had.

i fed blizz and two days later looked in the cage and she was shedding, after she finished i noticed she was missing a patch of scales.
i felt and still feel really bad, i feel like a negligent owner for not noticing she was near shed. but shes so small, and already white that its hard to tell, and her eyes didnt cloud
