Burm with personality...

jra2212 Nov 25, 2005 11:54 PM

I have a Burm that I aquired about 6 months ago and she has a lot of personality. She often reminds me of a dog. When I walk into the room, she'll "come alive" coming up to the front glass of her cage to see what I'm doing. She seems to really enjoy getting out of her cage to explore. I have other snakes, most that could care less about me and a couple that downright don't like me. She'll gladly "hang out" while I work on my computer or watch TV and she has quickly become my favorite. In my limited experience, I have yet to see another burm (or snake in general) with this much personality although I've heard that retics can act like this. So, do any of you guys/gals have a burm that acts almost like a dog?

That said, please don't read this wrong...I do not treat my snakes as dogs and I always take the proper safety precautions when handling my snakes.

I don't have a burm but I have a Redtail Boa that has a personality like that! It's priceless to have a bond like that with your snake, not many people get to have that like we do!
As for not having a burm...I only wish I could have one but I'm just too small to own one and I have a paranoid husband to boot! lol
