Well,I do not have a corn yet,but plan to get one this weekend.I dont have any snake experience, but getting a few differnt corns and seeing what you come up with seems fun.
First off,I caught a snake in my yard a month ago.It was about 15-16'' long. The local "snake guru" said he was a Rat snake,Texas rat.Anyhow, this little dude was mean as can be and would bite at you if you got any where near him.My girlfriend would take the bites and pick him up,I was scared to honest.I got bit by a snake when I was a kid and they still scare me a little.Anyhow, the rat snake got away(in my house).A girl I wotrk with let me hold her Albino corn and he was cool.Didnt try to bite.I heard Texas rats are biters anyhow,I dunno.Hope to get some good advice here.Im going to give corns a try I guess........thanks.

I am just kidding. They can make wonderfull pets. Corns come in an amazing array of colors and are almost always as gentle as a breeze. Assuming it is a hatchling start with a 10 gallon tank with a reptile top. Try to avoid the mesh tops as they don't hold heat and humidity. Get at least 2 hides, (one for the warm side and one for the cool) an under tank heater, substrate, (preferably reptibark or aspen shavings) a water bowl large enough for the snake to fit in completely, and of course a digital camera
