Testing out friends camera

Rick Millspaugh Nov 26, 2005 12:22 PM

A good friend of mine brought his digital SLR over a few days ago; I wanted to see if it would capture color better than my cruddy camera does. It does. Here is a young male we bred. He is one of the most florescent dragons I have seen (I’ve seen a lot). I posted him for sale a couple times, lots of interest but… We decided to hold on to him for awhile though, where else can you get this kind of color? Not sure what I was thinking.

My friend publishes a magazine and a school yearbook so he used Photoshop to crop unused color spectrum out of the jpg to make it smaller (mostly over my head). Because of this, I can’t say the photo wasn’t messed with but, the color is as close to what the dragon really looks like as I have been able to get yet. He is a stunner and I just wanted to share! The first two pics are from the SLR the last one is one I took with my camera.

The "good" pictures were taken with my buddies Canon Rebel XT, The best I found was $825 from Curcuit City (on line), it was $925 on sale in the a few stores, just a little out of my price range.

Or we would have been overrun years ago. In eight years, we have only kept three, don't want to inbreed, so keeping one usualy means buying one too. We prefer to stay small so all the babies get attention. Anyway, thanks for the complement! Your photo is not showing up, can you check the link?
