Pacman temp at 60...

sw0rdf15h Nov 26, 2005 12:34 PM

So I checked the thermometer this morning, and the temperature was unreasonably cold. around 60 degrees which is VERY unhealthy. At least this was only the air temperature, and my pac was huddled next to one of the heaters. I have a small hermit crab heat pad on the side wall, and a larger 10 gallon heat pad under the plastic tank. Not stuck to it, just under it like a mat. Yet the temperature is still getting that low. Should I stick on a light perhaps? Another heater? I'm worried that during the day it hits around 80 in his tank because the sun is on part of it.

I don't know why people freak out about thermal burns from these pads, they are woefully weak.

i would put a heat lamp on his tank, low wattage, like 25 watts. get him out of the baking sun if you can, small enclosures heat up really fast.
