Since my dad is so in love with the baby russian tortoise we bought (that I am raising for him), I decided to get him a tortoise-related christmas present. I think I'm going to get one of those christmas ornament picture frames that says 'baby's first christmas', and put a picture of the little baby tortoise in it. Sound like a funny idea for a christmas present on a budget?

I don't think it's a bad idea.
I'd like it if someone gave a frame to me with my tortoise's picture in it.

especially if your dad is so enamoured with him, he'll get a kick out of it. hell, my mom calls junior her "grandtortoise"...
