HOw do you maintain a 55 degree temp for hibernation? This will be my first attempt. I started cooling them, but I dont know how to maintain 55 degrees . I have them down to 65 so far. But that is just in a room that is 65.

What are they? if your trying to stimulate breeding 65 is good enough for most species. if you really want to keep them down to 55, put them in a tupperware container with lightly moisten moss and refridgerate. Use a refridgerater with a good thermostat.

If you have a seperate room for your snakes, a window air conditioner would probably do the trick, at least I would think so. Preferably one with a thermostat so you can sleep at night without worrying about your snakes freezing. Those are also pretty cheap around this time of year. I have never hibernated snakes myself, it's just a thought I had.
