A good friend of mine is moving away, and I'm the lucky recipient of his appx 6 month old male burm. It's been pretty much power fed up till now, and is able to eat smaller medium rats. He's currently in a cage barely big enough for him, and I was wondering what ideas people could give me as to housing him better. I have the extra room, and will probably end up building him one for when he's full grown. but for now, whats a good way to house him? Obviously it has to be able to resist moisture with the humidity that will be present, as well as high temps. Also, for heating...is a overhead lamp/undertank heating pad an ok mix? The pad would be more to supply belly warmth during the evening hours.
