Nights at Night

Do you all with nocturnal geckos allow ambient light to reach your geckos at night? I have a pair of frog eyed geckos in a corner of my living room and am wondering if having the light on at night will adversely affect the geckos.
Is it possible that because they are nocturnal animals they see equally well during the night or day... so if there is a "brighter" night their pupils will just shrink and they will still think it is night? I figure they will use their cage light as their "sun" and use that to set their biological clock.
