I'm going to be getting a new snake sometime soon. What kinds of snakes you do guys have? I already have milksnakes/kingsnakes, a hognose snake, a carpet python, and a ball python. I was thinking about some type of Boa? What do you guys think?

I have several pit vipers, pythons, boas and colubrids. Since you already own snakes I won't go through a protocal type thing with you. Anyway maybe a boa constrictor? if you've got the room for it. Or a blood python can be a hefty nice snake but thats if you've got the requirements that the snake needs. Maybe a corn snake (did you say you have that?) or bull/pine/gopher snake are excellent snakes also that get to about 6ft or more.
I love my columbian boa. She is mellow and sweet and a very good eater..I just have the normal common kind, no fancy color..She is my favorite out of all my snakes, I have a ball python a few corns and a kingsnake as well...I think Columbians make excellent pets..

Have you considered Indigos or other Drys? I'd recommend that to anyone who's already owned several snakes. I've had several species in the past, and getting an indigo was a totally new experience. Their behavior sets them appart from any other snake I've kept.
What about the behavior of the indigo snake sets it apart from all others? I've never seen one of these snakes, and I'm curious about how they are different.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.
I've heart that they're really freaking smart (for snakes) and relatively docile. I dug through the indigo forum a bit, and there's anecdotes about one wild one using an abandoned bookshelf as a vantage point to spot prey from, and a captive youngster who when counterattacked by a defensive mouse, submerged his head in the waterbowl till the mouse drowned. Apparently they're pretty personable making actual eye contact with their keepers a lot.
Oh, and compliments on signature philosophy.

Thanks for the information on indigo snakes. I remember reading as a kid that they were very big snakes, but I've not heard much about them since then. I don't think I've ever seen one, but they sound interesting.
Also, thanks for the compliment.

Indigoes and cribos are really cool,Id love to have some, but not too many people have the 600.00plus to spend on them...
