.....and asking questions about the Conan O'Brian bit with Steve Irwin - AKA Croc hunter.

NERD provided some critters for Steve on Fox and Friends, Tony Danza Show and Conan. I got to act like Steve's handler and was even on TV for a bit. We brought our 8' Gator who was a STAR on some of the shows.

On Conan we Ultrasounded a pregnant Green Anaconda to see the babies within.

We dumped out a bag of Ball Python color mutations onto Conan's desk to freak him out a bit and finally pulled out some angry baby Anacondas to show what was in the bigger Anaconda.

Steve was great, we got along well and he was very nice. I showed him a bunch of ball python mutations and he was like "this is a ball python?". He seemed perplexed to say they least. He REALLY liked the Bumble Bees. I was very happy to see he was not down on breeding color mutations and private breeders. He was easy going and hyper like me! He made sure to ask me about all my different animals I brought to the shows to learn about them and understand any of their quirks. He did not act like a know it all or a jerk. He made jokes and made fun of himself and everything around him. It is show business and he has to impress and make the best of his air time, the producers want to be "WOW'd" and it was EVIDENT as they swarmed around him.

I also met Carrot Top - The guy is JACKED!!! He was real pleasant and really liked our 75 Water Monitor.

Robert Downey Jr. - He seemed pleasant and a bit short?

Tony Danza was very nice! Great sport about playing with the animals and he even hung onto the tail of the big gator as it tried crawling into the audience.

Alison Krauss & The Union Station Band. Very nice woman, her kid was psyched to play with all of the ball pythons. This is one of Kara's favorite singers.

Conan was just a wise ass who was very nice and SHARP as a TACK!

All of the people on Fox and Friends were GREAT!

Edie was great and was holding our Caymen Island Rock Iguana hybrid like a baby during the show. NO FEAR!!

The whole thing went over well and I get to provide Steve's animals when he is out here for shows.

For anyone that lives in MANHATTAN.....

HOW DO YOU DO IT??????????

Kev@NERD

PS - THe book??? I can FEEL it getting closer.....

You get used to it quick. The fire engines ,cop siren's and all that noise is just like the crickets up your way. Its soothing.

I move around a lot and love to travel. I was in florida for the summer and it was too quiet, I mean way to quiet. I heard a couple "in copulation" 3 houses away and the bugs are to loud. I prefer cities thank you very much. When was this show aired? I never saw it. Take care.

The people just jump out in front of the cars......they are like...Rodents....they are EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

I think I may have even seen a few roadkill humans...

So many pedestrians...
So many chances.....

So many WITNESSES!!!

I think I get it...they are just like fish...they school and you get confused, you can't focus on one!

My other post left out my question ...

"Robert Downey Jr. - He seemed pleasant and a bit short?"

Was he short in the temperament department, or in height ...

He just seemed a bit smaller in stature than I expected...I was almost shocked.... I think it is just the movies that make us think some people are larger in size....

But I am 6'2"

I would have to agree, living and working in hollywood I have met a number of stars and thought the same thing. I met Seth Green and I knew he was shorter but not as short as he really is, though he is a super nice guy.

I am going to totally watch out for Steve on the Shows now so I can see your stuff!

When Fred Thompson was running for the US Senate in '96, I worked a campaign event where he spoke, and I spoke to him for a few minutes. From seeing him on TV, I expected him to tower over me. (I'm 5'11".) Instead, he was taller than I am, but he didn't seem that much bigger.
